Very eerie and unsettling. It reminds me of those tentacle-like probes in "War of the Worlds" which slowly search narrow areas looking for humans, and make that creepy mechanical noise as they do so This one looks more organic than mechanic tough
Love it. The concept is unique. I love how alien it looks, and how it seems that it's sending out its senses as irregular spheres/droplets of light from its body, evinced in those small pulses of light. It's almost creepy - in a good way - as anthropologically we shy away from these kinds of unfamiliar and potentially dangerous organisms. Great attention to detail as well. Your Spy reminds me of a combination of things:
1) Jellyfish 2) Any deep-sea organism, as many are bioluminescent; and, like your Spy, have tiny points of light on their bodies 3) A hunter-seeker from Dune, in terms of malevolence and purpose. (A hunter-seeker is pretty mechanical, but I see both as initially having a slow, patient, sinister method).
I like how the other elements of smoke and smooth stone/water really tie the image together, and makes visual siblings of your Spy so he/she/it doesn't look like it's standing out too much. Also, the warmth of the light coming from inside the building contrasted with the cool, purple oceanic realm of your Spy provides a rich, multidimensional color environment. Every detail in the image can be seen that way.
That is what I see. I could write more, but Congratulations. Well-deserved.
